How to use “My Class” to manage your classes

The “ My Class ” of the teacher account is a feature designed for teachers. It can help a lot with your class management and free your hands to do other works.

“My Class” is on the left of the portal page.
  1. How to create a class

  2. 1.1 Select “ My Class ” on the portal page.

    1.2 Click “ Create A New Class ” if you don’t have any classes yet.



          Click the “ + ” button to add a new one if you ever created a class.



    1.3 Enter your class name and description and click “ Create ” to create your new class.

  3. How to invite your students to join your class

  4. 2.1 Under “ My Class ”, click “ View class ” to select the class you want to add students.

    2.2 Select “ Student List ” and click “ Add students ” in the upper right corner.


    2.3 Select the way you would like to add students and click “ Continue ”:
         
           2.3.1 If you choose “ Share class code ”, you will get your class code. Please click “ copy ” and send it to your students.

                     After sharing your class code with your students, please let them sign in for their accounts and go to “ My Class ” page to join your class.

           2.3.2 If you choose “ Send an invitation to the student’s email ”, please add your students’ emails one by one.

                     After adding all the emails, please click “ Add students ”. Then your students will receive your invitation emails. Please remember to remind your students to check their emails and confirm the invitations to join your class.

    Tips: Before your students join your class, they should have the FunChinaWorld student Accounts. If they don’t have one, please let them register.

  5. How to create an assignment

  6. 3.1 Under “ My Class ”, click “ View class ” to choose the class you want to create the assignment.

    3.2 Select “ Assignments ” on the left of “ My Class ” page.

    3.3 Click “ New Assignment ” and select the option “ Practice: assign a collection of skills " .

    3.4 Enter your assignment information: the name, the available duration, the goals, the words or sentences for learning . Then click the “ Schedule ” to start it.

    3.5 During the availability of your assignment, your students will do their assignments when they fight the monsters or challenge the examiners .

  7. How to get the reports for your students’ learning

  8. 4.1 Under “My Class”, click “View class” to choose the class you want to get the reports.

    4.2 Select “Reports” on the left of “My Class” page. There 2 kinds of reports in the “Reports”: “Progress” and “Usage”.

    4.3 Click “Progress” report and you will get the progress of your students, such as the level, the chapters and stories they completed. To get the details of each student, please click the “Details




    4.4 Click “Usage” report and you will get the usage of your students. In this report, you can know when your students use FunChinaWorld to learn Chinese.



  9. How to control the chat in class and learning progress of your students

  10. 5.1 Under “My Class”, click “View class” to select the class you want to set the control.

    5.2 Select “Class Settings” and scroll the page to the bottom.



    5.3 To allow your class to communicate with each other with text chat on FunChinaWorld, please check the box of “Enable chat in class”.

    5.4 To control your students’ pace of learning content, please click the blue dropdown button to select the Chapter/Unit.
